The PENNY DEL is the top German ice hockey league, featuring thrilling matchups between the best teams in the country. Record champions are Eisbären Berlin with ten titles, followed by Adler Mannheim and EHC Red Bull München. In the 2023/24 season, a new attendance record was set with over 2.6 million fans in the regular season. Deutsche Eishockey Liga 2 (DEL 2)

The DEL2 is the second-highest ice hockey league in Germany, offering exciting games and fierce competition. Since 2013/14, it has been organized by the Eishockeyspielbetriebsgesellschaft (ESBG) and is the most attended second-tier league in Europe. Bietigheim Steelers and Ravensburg Towerstars are consistently among the top teams, and in the 2023/24 season, Eisbären Regensburg claimed the championship. The DEL2 remains a key competition for teams aiming for promotion to the DEL.
