The history of the Wunderino Arena

The Wunderino Arena in Kiel, originally opened in 1974 as the “Kieler Ostseehalle”, has an eventful history. It was initially known primarily for ice hockey matches, but quickly developed into a versatile venue for concerts and sporting events.

The hall was modernized in the 2000s and was given its current name in 2017 through a partnership with the online gaming provider Wunderino. Today, the arena can hold up to 10,000 spectators and is a central part of Kiel's cultural scene, known for large events and international concerts.
