The last encounter
In the last encounter, the Augsburg Panthers started the game with a lot of energy. Shortly before the first break, Clarke extended the lead to 2-0 with a power play goal.
In the second period, the Cologne Sharks came into the game better and increased the pressure. In the 27th minute, Pfohl managed to score the goal to make it 2-1 after he had used a rebound. The Sharks continued to put Augsburg under pressure, but goalkeeper Keller kept the lead for the Panthers with strong saves.
The last period remained exciting. In the 53rd minute, Uvira scored the equalizer for the Cologne Sharks to make it 2-2 when he successfully completed a counterattack. But shortly before the end, in the 58th minute, Stieler scored with a shot from close range to give the Augsburg Panthers a 3-2 lead. Despite an onslaught in the final minutes, the Kölner Haie were unable to equalize, and the Augsburg Panthers secured the narrow and hard-fought victory.
